Scripture reading for March 25th: Deuteronomy 23-26, Luke 11
Key Scriptures: Luke 11:27-28 “As He said these things, a woman in the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts at which You nursed!” But He said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and keep it.””
Jesus had cast a demon out of a man that was mute and the man began to speak. The crowd was amazed but some accused Jesus of casting out spirits by the power of the devil. Jesus explained that the devil would not cast out the devil–it would be a house divided. People freed from demons must be careful to fill their souls with God or worse would happen. Blessed people are those who hear God’s Word and obey it! They are His ‘treasured possession’ and close relative.
Faith Confession and prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Holy Word that is for my instruction and cleansing. Help me today to find those who need deliverance and freedom and I will share Your Word of freedom. You consider them ‘treasured possessions!’
Deuteronomy 26:18-19 “And the Lord has declared today that you are a people for His treasured possession, as He has promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments, and that He will set you in praise and in fame and in honor high above all nations that He has made, and that you shall be a people holy to the Lord your God, as He promised.”
